Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursday is hosted by Reading Between Pages First here are the rules:

  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”
This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.
The Theme this week is: Conversation:

“Don’t tell harper I did this. He’ll be pissed.”
Pissed because you were nice to me? that sucks. “Why is he such an idiot?”
“Don’t know.” He took the empty container and put it in the car. “You best get in there before he wakes up.”
As he turned away, she touched his arm. “Thanks, Simon.”
“Watch yourself, OK?” He said, his brow forrowed in worry.
“You too.”

The Theme this week is: Weather. So here is my Thursday theme:
The Chill never left the air, even by that afternoon. The whole month of February had been cold, at least by California standards. As Veronica Jogged through the school parking lot towards her little blue car, she could feel the bite in het air putting a rosy glow into her pale cheeks.

The Theme this week is: Emotion. So here is my Thursday theme:
Bella was damn well comming home. Tonight

Rehvenge was not the kind of male who handled frustration well under the best of circumstances. So he was beyond through waiting to have his sister back where she needed to be.

( From Lover Awakened, Black Dagger Brotherhood book 3 by J.R. Ward
I know I used this book last week but I’ve decided to really take my time reading this book because the story is so heartbreaking.

His face was a goddamned mess. His body wasn’t much better, at least not on the back. And his reputation made Jack the Ripper look like a Boy Scout.

Theme Thursday #3

I almost forgot to participate in the theme thursday this week! This weekley Meme is hosted by Reading between Pages. The theme this week is: Furniture.  So here is my post.

The moment we crossed my treshold I jerked my arm from Marc’s grip and slunk across the room toward the dresser. Angry more with myself than with him, I yanked open the top righ-hand drawer and pulled out a pair of panties. Slamming the drawer shut, I whirled around to face him.
