But Rhine quickly learns that not everything in her new husband’s strange world is what it seems. Her father-in-law, an eccentric doctor bent on finding the antidote, is hoarding corpses in the basement. Her fellow sister wives are to be trusted one day and feared the next, and Rhine is desperate to communicate to her twin brother that she is safe and alive. The view of a book addict:

Most of the time I tell my mom to read a book, this time she recommended this book to me. And I’m glad she did because I loved it!  I really like the way the story is told, you get right into the action and while reading the story you get to find out what’s going on with the world.
It’s a terrifying idea that you won’t live past 20 as a girl or 25 as a boy. At first you just want to hate her husband Linden for taking her away from her brother. But as the story goes you find out that he’s as much a prisoner as she is. From then on I got a little crush on him to be honest. He’s such a sweet boy.

The verdict of a book addict:

Wow is just what I have to say, I loved every page of this book and I can’t wait until I get the chance to read the next one

The view of a book addict:

It has been some time since I’ve read a morganville vampire book, so at first it took me some time to get the story back together. But as always I loved every page of the book, I just love this series.
The wonderful thing about this series is that every book just picks up were the last book left you. So you really feel like you’re reading some kind of diary but put into book form. This way you really get to know the characters and what their life looks like.

The verdict of a book addict:

Another great Morganville Vampire story, I’m sure I won’t wait this long again to read the next book!

The view of a book addict:

This book was one big surprise for me! Because I didn’t know what was comming at all. At first I thought it was a very good book about a missing brother but I never imagined there would be vampires there!
I have read two other books from this author and I loved them both so when I was asked to read this one I didn’t have to think about it at all! I love the writing style, you never get the feeling that you’re reading so many pages. That’s how fast you go through the book because you want to know what’s going on. Every chapter ends with it’s own cliffhanger and that gets you hooked into the story.

The verdict of a book addict:

An amazing book by an amazingly talented author. You should all go and read this.

The view of a book addict:

I was asked to read the first book in this series and asked again if I wanted to read the second book. I didn’t have to think about it and said yes. I love this story, just as you think you know what’s going on it goes in a whole other direction. I love the main character although she sometimes drives you mad because she just doesn’t see what great life she could live.
The writing style is so good that it grips you from the first sentence and you can’t let go until you know what’s going to happen next and next and next. Before you know it you’re reading the last page. That’s how great this story is!

The verdict of a book addict:

I hated the ending of this book because I realized I had to wait another book to know what’s going to happen and how the story will end. But hated it in a good way because I can’t wait to read the next book!

Review: Mockinjay by Suzanne Collins

Published 04/05/2012 by supernaturalreadingaddict

Title:               Mockingjay
Author:           Suzanne Collins
Pages:             455
Catagory:        Distopian

The story:

My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead.

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss’s family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plains–except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss’s willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels’ Mockingjay–no matter what the personal cost

The view of a book addict:

I was sad when I found out that Mockinjay would be the last book in the series. Because I came to love the districts and the people living there. Of course I’m a Katniss fan and I was really curious to find out what was going to happen to her and her loved ones.
Because I’ve read the book before it wasn’t a surprise but I still loved every word every line of this book. It made me laugh, it made me angry and it made me cry. How many drama can one person have in his life. For Katniss it’s a lot of drama, but not all of it is drama, you can see that’s she has grown into the mockingjay role.

The verdict of a book addict:

A really great ending to a really great series if you ask me. Of course I would have loved to read a lot more about Katniss but I do think that in the end it’s for the best that there are only three books
