Title:               Dark Lover ( The Black Dagger Brotherhood
Author:          J.R. Ward
Pages:             393
Catagory:      Fantasy, vampires

The story:

In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there’s a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There exists a secret band of brothers like no other – six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Yet none of them relishes killing their enemies more than Wrath, the leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood…

The only purebred vampire left on the planet, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But when one of his most trusted fighters is killed – orphaning a half-breed daughter unaware of her heritage or her fate – Wrath must usher the beautiful female into the world of the undead…

Racked by a restlessness in her body that wasn’t there before, Beth Randall is helpless against the dangerously sexy man who comes to her at night with shadows in his eyes. His tales of brotherhood and blood frighten her. But his touch ignites a dawning hunger that threatens to consume them both..

The view of a book addict:

Okay I have to admit it: I’m in love with 6 vampires….. I heard a lot about the books, but I never really took the time to order book one and read it. I was afraid I would be disappointed. But I was wrong in so many ways. I loved the book from the first page to the last and I just couldn’t put the book down.
At first I didn’t bother reading the Glossary of Terms and Proper Nouns, but I found myself getting back to it everytime I read a term I didn’t know. I love the whole world that’s build around the brothers. And of course I loved the steamy scenes and the romance of the book.

The verdict of a book addict:

I feel stupid for waiting so  long to start reading this series because it’s amazing! I can’t wait for the next book, but I’ll have to wait for them to arrive. Hurry up mr. Mailman and bring me my books! I’m addicted to this series and I recommend it to anyone that loves a book with a lot of action and steamy scenes!
