Wonderful series Wednesday #2

Published 02/02/2011 by supernaturalreadingaddict

It’s wednesday already so time for a wonderful series wednesday. The series this week is:

Series title: The parasol protectorate
Author: Gail Carriger
How many books are there: Three for now
Catagory: Steampunk, Urban fantasy

What is the series about:
In this series you follow Alexia Tarabotti, Alexia is soulles. This means that she doesn’t have a soul. She is the daughter of an English mother and a Italian father, this makes her very diffrent from all the other English girls. Her mother is remarried to an English man and has two other daughters. The story is set in Victorian London and the fact that Alexia isn’t married is food for gossips. Meanwhile Vampires and Werewolves roam the streets of London and you can take a ride on a steamdriven zeplin. So it’s not a normal victorian story, because Alexia is soulless she is one of the few people that can fight the supernatural. Although people know about the vampires and werwolves and most of them act normal there are some that try to give the supernatural creatures a bad name.
Wich books have I read already?
I have read all three books in the series.

Are there more books coming?

Book 4 is comming out in June and has an amazing cover!
I just love this series because it’s a combination of supernatural, Victorian London and steampunk. Amazing combination if you ask me so this series is a must read if you love all of these things above!

  • I haven't heard of this series before but it sounds fun. I love the combination of Victorian London and supernatural. There is just something that seems funny about this Victorian ladies fighting creatures.
