All Megan wants is to be normal and go to homecoming, of course. Unfortunately, it’s a little difficult when your dates keep getting interrupted by a bunch of slobbering Undead.

Megan must stop the Zombie apocalypse descending on Carol, Arkansas. Her life and more importantly, homecoming depends on i

The view of a book addict:

This zombie book is fun and has a great story, I had a little trouble getting into this book, but that didn’t last long. There is a lot of normal drama going on in the life of the main character and to make it worse she has to deal with zombies.
The new take on zombies was something that I really liked. Not the flesh eating creatures ( okay they are in this story but not like we know them. ) but just people that aren’t happy with their dead and have some sort of unfinished things they left when they were alive. And then their are the rogue zombies, they want to eat you alive. I’m glad I don’t have to be a settler.

The verdict of a book addict:

A fun zombie book, that takes you to the edge of your seat at one time and makes you laugh out loud the next moment. If you want to read a zombie book without all the gore this is your book!

Booktitle: Angel fire ( angel trilogy book 2 )
Author: L.A Weatherly
Release date ( if known) : 1-10-2011
Catagory: Young Adult, Angels
Goodreads summary:

This is the thrilling second chapter in the electrifying “Angel Trilogy”. Angels will never be seen in the same way again. Gorgeous, charismatic Alex has the courage and skill of a trained Angel Killer. Unique, dazzling Willow has the beauty and power that comes with being half-angel. As the power of the malevolent Church of Angels grows, now it’s up to Alex and Willow to train a new team of Angel Killers. Willow soon finds her half-angel identity met with hostility by some of the other AKs, while privately, she must wrestle with the knowledge that her father, Raziel, is a depraved, evil angel. However, while life in the AK training camp is tough, at least Alex and Willow are together. But when Alex discovers that the death of his brother and fellow Angel-Killer, Jake, was linked to a secret CIA mission to defeat the angels, he is forced to leave the camp to complete his brother’s work… without Willow. Alex promised Willow he would never leave her, but with the fate of the human race at stake, destiny has ruled that Alex and Willow must be parted once more..

Why do I want to read this book?

There are a lot of books about angels out there, they are the new hype I guess. But the first book in the series was amazing! It’s one of those books I couldn’t put down, so I have to know how the next chapter in the lifes of Alex and Willow. So this book is a must read for me!

Review: Fireflies by Lacey Reah

Published 25/02/2011 by supernaturalreadingaddict

Title:               Fireflies
Author:          Lacey Reah
Pages:             99 on my e-reader
Catagory:      Paranormal Romance

The story:

Linda is a calculating, career-driven woman whose perfect world is shattered when she is seduced and transformed by a vampire-like creature called a nymphomite. Linda becomes a beast, feeding off the energy of orgasmically-charged blood. Convinced that her humanity has faded away, Linda adapts to her new instincts of hunger and sex. She hunts women primarily, for their longer and more frequent orgasms, and becomes a master of prolonging and intensifying their pleasure. But she never expected to find a woman like Jesse, and Linda’s decision to spare her life instead of feed off her leads to a shocking turn of events that will make Linda question her beastlike identity and the humanity she thought she had lost.

The view of a book addict:
I’ve finished this book in one day, I think that says a lot about a book. I just wanted to know what would happen with Linda. How she would cope with her new life and what she would do next.
I love the way this book is written, it just sucks you in and won’t even let you go after you read the last sentence. I would love to know what will happen next in Linda’s life. There are a lot of erotic scemes in this book, but they are so beautifully written.
The verdict of a book addict:

It’s been a long time that I finished a book in one day, I loved every word of this book. I hope I will have the chance to read more books from this author!

Follow Friday & blog hop #7

Published 25/02/2011 by supernaturalreadingaddict

So it’s the end of the week again, and I have to say I’m glad this week is over. I love working but the weekend always gives me more time to read. And of course it’s time for another follow friday and Blog Hop.

I’m starting with the follow friday hosted by Parajunkee’s View, the question this week is:

Share your current fav television show! Tell us a bit about it…

My current fav television show is Supernatural, this show is about two brothers fighting demons. I’ve been in love with this show from season one. The last season I saw was season 5 on DVD and I can’t wait for season 6 to come out. I won’t watch it on tv because in the Netherlands they are way behind so I’ve seen all the episodes already and it comes on really late on a sunday night. So if you curious about the show click the video below. I loved this question!

Book Blogger HopAnd then there is the Blog Hop, that is hosted by Crazy for books, the question this week is:

“Do you ever wish you would have named your blog something different?”

The answer is simple: No, I love the name of my blog. I am addicted to books always have and always will be. So the title of the blog says a lot about me.

So that’s it for tis week, have a great weekend!!

Review: Blood Noir by Laurell K. Hamilton

Published 24/02/2011 by supernaturalreadingaddict

Title:               Blood Noir ( An Anita Blake vampire hunter novel )
Author:          Laurell K. Hamilton
Pages:             429
Catagory:      Paranormal Romance, vampires, werewolves

The story:

Readers can’t get enough of the #1 New York Timesbestselling author.

A favor for Jason, vampire hunter Anita Blake’s werewolf lover, puts her in the center of a fullblown scandal that threatens master-vampire Jean- Claude’s reign—and makes her a pawn in an ancient vampire queen’s new rise to power.

The view of a book addict:

It took me a long time to read this book, I’ve been a huge Anita blake fan after reading the first book. But after a couple of books it became more about the sex and less about any other story. That made me not want to read this book.  But I’m glad I did because I really loved this book, it had the things in it I liked about the first books. Okay a little sex, but the main line was a great story.
It was really nice to know more about Jason, he has been one of my favourite characters in this series in it was nice to see that he finally got the spotlight in this book. I loved the action in this book and I hope the next book will be just as good as this one.

The verdict of a book addict:

Finally Anita is back as we know her, she fights the supernatural and even shows some of her feelings toward the men in her life in this book. It was an amazing read and I’m glad I picked this book up.
