Title: Awakened ( a house of night novel )
Author: P.C & Kirstin Cast
Pages: 290
Catagory: Vampires
The story:
At the start of Awakened, the pulse-pounding eighth installment of the bestselling House of Night series, Zoey has returned, mostly whole, from the Otherworld to her rightful place as High Priestess at the House of Night. Her friends are just glad to have her back, but after losing her human consort, Heath, will Zoey—or her relationship with her super- hot Warrior, Stark—ever be the same? Stevie Rae is drawn even closer to Rephaim, the Raven Mocker with whom she shares a mysterious and powerful Imprint, but he is a dangerous secret that isolates her from her school, her red fledglings, and even her best friends. When the dark threat of Neferet—who is coming closer and closer to achieving her twisted goal of immortality—and Kalona returns, what will it take to keep the House of Night from being lost forever, and what will one desperate girl do to keep her heart from being irreparably broken?
The view of a book addict:
I had a little trouble getting into this book, I just didn’t know what happened in the last book anymore. I knew the bigger storyline but not all the small things. I really didn’t know if I was going to like this book.
This book doesn’t have the excitement and tension the other books had, to me it felt more like a slowing down book and prepare for the next one ( at least that’s what I hope ). Although it was nice to read about all the characters and get to know them again, I did miss the big finale of the book. The finale was really cool and nice but I did miss the big fight you usually get at the end of the books.
The verdict of a book addict:
This book is more of a get to know the main characters again if you ask me. If you read the whole series of course you then want to read this one. But to me it isn’t the best book in the series. I hope the next book will be more exciting again!

Title: Wings of a demon
Author: Ashley Davis
Pages: 305 on my e-reader
Catagory: Paranormal romance
The story:
The view of a book addict:
This story had me from the first words until the last pages of the story. The prologue takes you in and never let’s you go. The story is well written and even though there are a lot of characters in the book it’s easy to follow.
At first I was affraid I wouldn’t be able to follow all the story lines in this book but after reading about all the characters I found it easy to switch from one to the other. The fact that their stories all come together does make this easier. You reed how all of them are meeting each other and how they are connected.
It moves in a fast pace and that makes this book hard to put down!
The verdict of a book addict:
This story is exciting and has lot of great characters. It has sex scenes but they didn’t bother me, they made the story work and were beautifully written. This is a must read for people out there in love with the paranormal romance genre. I know I loved every word and every sentence and I can’t wait for to read the next book!

So that’s it for this follow friday!
Then we have the blog hop! This is hosted by Crazy for Books The question this week is:
“What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011? Why are you anticipating that book?”
The book I’m looking forward to the most has to be Cryptic Cravings by Ellen schreiber. As a 16 year old girl I read the dutch verson of Vampire kisses and fell in love with it, I searched every bookstore for that book and it’s still my most favourite book ever. So I’m really looking forward for book 8 in this series
